How to Obtain a Companies House API Key
To obtain an API Key, you must first register an account with the Companies House, as well as request an API key. Both these activities can be completed in under 15 minutes.
To request an API key, visit this website and register your email address (Link to Sign On / Register)
You will receive an email to verify your registration, click the link and set a password.
Once logged in, select 'Create an application', and fill in the details. Make sure and select 'Test' if this is just for dev purposes.
Once created, select the application you just created, and select 'Create a New Key'
Provide a Key Name and Description. Be sure to select 'REST.' You can leave the 'Restricted IPs' and the JavaScript domains sections empty, unless your organization has special requirements in this area.
Copy the API key from the next screen and use it in the following steps.
